Libertarian candidacy for the United States Senate from Tennessee. The Tennessee
Division of Elections has verified (in a letter dated march 3, 2008) that Daniel
Lewis will be placed on the November 4, 2008 ballot as a candidate for United States
Senate. On Saturday March 8, 2008 the Libertarian Party of Tennessee officially
selected Daniel Lewis as their Candidate for United States Senate at their annual
convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Daniel Lewis is currently serving as the chairman of the Libertarian Party of
Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County. Daniel Lewis ran for the Tennessee
House in 2004. Daniel Lewis is seeking the office of United States Senator form
Tennessee to offer the voters an alternative to those that will be offered by the
Republican and Democratic party. Daniel Lewis supports reducing the size, scope
and power of government at all levels and on all issues, and opposes increasing the
size, scope or power of government at any level or for any purpose.
